Building the most meaningful DMC, not the biggest

I've never been interested in building the biggest DMC.

I care about building the most meaningful one. The most human. The most rooted. The most trusted.

So when we expanded Fifth Street DMC into the Carolinas, the headline was the acquisition of Mosaix Group. The real story was the team.

Growth that keeps its soul

It's easy to grow by addition. Buy a book of business, fold it in, move on. That's not what we did.

Mosaix is a team that spent years building real relationships in their region. When we welcomed them in, the job wasn't to absorb them into something generic. The job was to give them a platform underneath their craft so they could do their best work without carrying everything alone.

That's the difference between expansion and extraction. We grow by making good businesses whole, not by hollowing them out.

Texas, Montana, and now the Carolinas

Fifth Street DMC was the first destination management company in Austin and in Montana. The Carolinas are the next chapter. Three regions, one standard: design and produce experiences that feel rooted in the place, run by people who actually know it.

A destination is not interchangeable. The thing that makes Montana feel like Montana is not the thing that makes the Carolinas feel like the Carolinas. You can't fake local. You have to hire it, trust it, and protect it.

That's why we grow through people who are already part of the fabric, not by parachuting in.

What we protect when we grow

Operating companies create today's revenue. The village creates tomorrow's enterprise value. As we grow, we make sure the people who built these companies own a piece of them. We protect Main Street. We're not for sale to Wall Street.

Bigger was never the goal. Truer was. A family of brands, grown thoughtfully, where the people who built it share in what they built.

Ten years from now I don't want the biggest DMC in the country. I want the one people trust most with what matters to them. That's worth building slowly and building right.
